This track is one of the strangest I have ever conceived. There are 5 individual bell parts to this: glockenspiel, vibraphone 1 & 2 and celesta left and right hand. Placing the notes so that they would not conflict with one another took a while, especially since they all loop fugue-style. On top of this are 3 melodic lines in counterpoint. In addition, there’s a double string section present, the first playing arco, the other pizzicato.
The sounds have been replaced with synths, yet the overall effect is still Christmassy (I keep seeing a window with frost feathers: the patterns all vary but it all makes sense). Frost Feathers was never intended to be a Christmas jingle, but with all those bells there was no escaping it. The ending actually sounds like it did when the symphonic sounds were used. This track once went by the name Klooless, don’t ask me why.
Written September 1 – 30, Circle is named so because of its beat and harmonic progression. It has no real parts to it, just moves forward like a circle without really heading anywhere in particular. At times, it reminds me of Zorba as it has some Greek dance influences. Woodwinds are used to decorate this circular environment and provide melodic content.

Written July 22 – 26 1990 and reworked 2010, this piece began it’s life for vocals with piano accompaniment and string section. After changing it to a more techno oriented piece, I noticed it didn’t really work so I transformed it into a very soft, tranquil piece that actually reflects the colors of Lights. Daylight hasn’t been mastered yet.
